A Healthy Time

Three more pounds have slipped away and life seems to be going well. This week I get to journey to see some very close friends and that is the best thing ever! it's so rough having to wait so long, but at least there's the Internets!

Lately, it's been work work work, and when I'm not at work, I'm at home playing World of Warcraft too much. I think I really need to break free from this game in some way as it does monopolize my time way too much. It gets sad when I think of how much time over the years I've probably spent on the computer, when I could've been out with friends. On the other hand, since the Internet revolution, friends can be made online...so are you really wasting time on some of these games when you actually do have social interaction?

I'm with you about spending too much time on the computer, but it's because of the time I could have spent outside. I'm really much too strange to have friends anywhere else but online. If not for the internet I would be just a lonely lonely goth geek girl.

I really don't think social interaction via video games is that bad. I mean, it should never take the place of real world relationships, but there's something to be said for shared experiences in epic, fantasy worlds! Heck, in high school, many of my friendships revolved around the commonality of kicking monsters butts, fighting ninjas, or racing Princess Peach against Mario, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong. The only difference was, back then we had to be in the same room (and given some of my old friend's hygiene, that is hardly a benefit!)

You are wonderful, Colleeny, and you are doing such an amazing job on your diet and exercise regimen! Don't make yourself feel too guilty for just indulging in a fun and silly pastime. I would go completely crazy without fun and silly pastimes- or without a beautiful Colleen to share some of them with!

SQUEE!!!

I really love the way WoW brings people together...it has a unique way of immersing you in the world. I'd rather play WoW on a busy night than to ever go to another con again....

I just wish you'd been playing more when my account was active...:*-(
