The best year of my life

From Valerie's Letter in V for Vendetta:

Work improved. I got small film roles, then bigger ones. In 1986 I starred in "The Salt Flats." It pulled in the awards but not the crowds. I met Ruth while working on that. We loved each other. We lived together and on Valentine's Day she sent me roses and oh God, we had so much. Those were the best three years of my life.

I know that whatever I face in life. No matter what hardships I go through in the future, I had roses and apologized to nobody.

The words love and thanks don't do justice anymore for how I feel.

The rose is a flower of love acclaimed and revered for centuries. Pink roses are for love hopeful and expectant. White roses are for the loved dead or love forsaken, but the red roses...

Red roses are for love triumphant.

What! Only one comment! It's going to be lonely. =( I will give it company by pointing out an important fact.

You are the most beautiful, loving, adorable, kind, talented, and utterly WONDERFUL woman in the world Colleeny!!!

I read this post a few days ago and was touched by it. Actually, I was gonna add something, but I figured it wasn't really my place to comment. This post was very ultra-personal...anything I'd add would just be trite.

Still.....you both are very lucky to have one another. Love is such an amazing force for change...I wish you both the very best.
