Autumn

There is no time of the year I love more than autumn. I absolutely hate spring and summer and I'm not sure why that is. I am sure it has something to do with hating the sun, but also more with the fact that I have some wonderful memories in my life that always happen in autumn.

First, it's got my favorite holiday--Halloween. Second, the weather is perfect in autumn, and the leaves begin to fall from the trees and everything becomes nice and cooler out from the scorching summer. I find the sun looks more beautiful in autumn and the sunsets and sunrises are much more vivid.

Finally, people come into my life in autumn. I am not sure why this is, but I am always meeting people around this time of the year. I think since I love the month so much, I open myself up more to people. I'm really looking forward to autumn this year and getting to spend Halloween in Pittsburgh :)

Anyway, this is just my ode to autumn and how much I miss those few months, which are always my favorite months of the year. And with global warming being as it is, I think I can comfortably add December to the season. :)

I am in 100% agreement! I love the colours of fall, I love the warm sweaters and leaves dancing on the wind and crinkling underfoot. And you are absolutely right about the sunsets, sweetie!

I predict that this Halloween is going to be the most awesomest evers!!! We need to start planning costume details though!

While I can handle the spring (especially when it rains and rains and rains), I completely agree with you about the summer. For autumn, I prefer the month of Novembre when it's full into it, and it can kill you if it likes. Beauty that demands respect, as it where! I don't look forward to Halloween as much as I did when I was a child. Now that I'm an "adult" I dress up as whatever the hell I like whenever I like to! =)

I'm back :) feels like forever, probably has been months since I last commented. Wow life is just nuts, finally I'm being forced to chill on my laptop.

Anyways I have to be the black sheep. Me and my mom get depressed when cold, so winter are bad months. Fall is depressing to me because I feel as if everything is dying and as things get colder so does my emotions. The opposite in the spring and summer. Summer is my favorite only if the humidity is normal and not this 85 and older stuff going on now. Sunny and 70ish and I am at my peak.

Glad to be reading about your life again.

Autumn FTW. Summer here in El Salvador (or Columbus....whichever...they're the same thing) is disgusting, sticky, and humid, you can bake cookies in your car while you're at work, and suffer heat stroke in the mosquito-infested oven there's no escape from.

Now, Autumn...I have to agree with all your sentiments. The crisp edge to the air and to the sky lends a sweetness to life, the clothes are nicer, and you don't have to fight for breath.

And it's prettier. That always helps.
